Demand for Soundproof Windows in Real Estate Projects Skyrockets; New Soundproof Window Systems Solve Noise Issues in New Developments

With the implementation of the *General Specifications for the Built Environment*, the minimum sound insulation standard for doors and windows in new residential buildings has been raised to 30 dB, and buildings facing streets are now required to have sound insulation performance of 35 dB or higher. Hehe Building Hardware has partnered with leading real estate developers to launch a customized, integrated soundproof window system. By optimizing noise-reduction processes across the entire supply chain—from hardware seals and glass structures to window frame joints—the system addresses the pain point of noise complaints upon delivery for properties located along elevated highways and subway lines.

Research shows that currently, 70% of homebuyers upgrading to a better home list sound insulation as a core consideration when purchasing a property. However, a large number of entry-level housing projects are equipped with standard double-pane windows, resulting in nighttime noise levels that severely exceed standards and incurring high costs for retrofitting. The new generation of soundproof windows features vulcanized welded full-circumference rubber seals, concealed drain-style drainage, and triple-pane composite soundproof glass. Without the need for extensive retrofitting throughout the home, they can reduce outdoor traffic noise levels of 70–80 decibels to below 35 decibels indoors.

Industry experts predict that by 2026, the market size for soundproof window retrofits will exceed 130 billion yuan, and the bulk installation of systematic soundproof window systems by real estate developers will become standard in high-end residential projects.
